A Fit All

A game about stretching and shrinking. Made for GMTK Game Jam 2024. The theme: "Built to Scale"

Washing clothes is a pain. But receiving your stuff from the laundry all changed to the wrong size may be just as hurtful. But no worries! Introducing A Fit All - Paul’s Fixer Laundry! We take your stretched and shrunk clothes and get them back to the shape that fits!

We are so sure of our technology that if you don't like the result, we will pay YOU money! Welcome, and may all your clothes fit perfectly—always!

Rules

The mechanics of my game are simple:

• Customers bring you clothes that don’t match their size.
• You, the player, take them (press Space to pick up/drop and A, D or Arrow Keys to move around) close to our patented Size-Changing Washing Machine ©.
• Developer’s note: I know it's a bummer, but the clothes don’t actually go into the Washing Machine. You can just leave the item in front of the machine and proceed to the control panel. :)
• Set the program at the control panel (with 1, 2, and 3 keys), run it (by pressing E), and Ta-da! You’ve got yourself a perfectly sized item!
• Take it back to the customer and receive your well-earned money—100 per piece. But be diligent, because if you give a customer the wrong size, you’ll have to pay them 50 for the trouble.
• Repeat with the next customer.
• That’s it! Earn enough money (1000 will do just fine) to take a well-deserved break.
